FULL PRACTICE AUTHORITY FOR NURSE PRACTITIONERS
This poster was created in response to the ongoing legislative gridlock around Full Practice Authority (FPA) in Pennsylvania. Despite repeated approval in the state senate, the bill consistently fails in the house. Collaborating with faculty at Jefferson Hospital, our goal was to raise awareness and push for change at the state level.
To convey a sense of authority and urgency, I drew visual inspiration from the format of official house bills—typically black-and-white, densely worded, and often photocopied repeatedly. That repetitive, static aesthetic mirrors the cycle of stalled progress.
Because legislative language tends to be long-winded without saying much, I made sure to include a clear, direct call-to-action that cuts through the noise. By using redacted text to form the shape of Pennsylvania, we created a bold visual statement tailored to both the issue and the audience—state lawmakers.
